Defensive Carbine II is designed to build on the core competencies gained in Defensive Carbine I and challenge the students in a fast paced, mentally, and physically demanding course. Defensive Carbine II places an emphasis on efficiency, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork. This course culminates in a final event that requires each shooter to employ the techniques learned in Defensive Carbine I and II while experiencing mental and physiological stressors.

- Defensive Carbine I refresher
- Handgun employment as a secondary firearm
- Transitioning between primary and secondary
- Immediate displacement to a dominant location
- Support side engagements
- Alternative shooting positions
- Critical problem solving
- Use of cover
- Vehicle dynamics
- Mutual supporting engagements
- Final event
Required Equipment:
- 400 rounds of carbine ammunition minimum
- 150 rounds of handgun ammunition
- Reliable carbine and handgun
- 3 magazines or more for carbine
- 2 magazines or more for handgun
- Magazine pouches for carbine and handgun, (reloading from pockets is acceptable)
- Sling – One, two, or three-point
- Quality holster
- Ear Protection (electronic preferred)/ Eye Protection
Recommended Equipment:
- Battle belt or chest rig, or purpose-built messenger bag/active shooter kit
- Gloves
- Firearm lubricant
- Dress how your lifestyle would dictate your likely dress for carbine employment.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of Defensive Carbine I
